A New Age

This weekend our family went from having an 11, 9 and 7 year old, to having a 12, 9 and 7 year old.

Elisha, you are such a gift to us. I am thankful for every day I’ve been your mum. We’ve made some unforgettable memories together, and we’ve learnt some tough lessons together too. You are a wonderful young man, you are thoughtful and kind, you take good care of Cayley and Jos and you are happy to include them in so much of what you do. You are enthusiastic about learning and are learning to face your fear of mistakes. But what thrills my heart the most is to see your love for your saviour developing so keenly. I love that you have such a heart for church, and I’m so thankful that God has provided you with such good friends who also know Jesus. It is my prayer for you that you will continue to grow in knowledge and stature, but more than anything that you will keep your eyes always fixed on Jesus. I might let you down sometimes (like this morning when I didn’t have your uniform dry and ready for school), but he never will.

Happy birthday Elisha!

The gift that has brought the most entertainment along with laughter and disgust is two boxes of Bean Boozled Jelly Beans. Every colour bean could be one of two flavours. A typical jelly bean flavour, liquorice for instance, or in the case of the black jelly  bean, skunk oil. Yes. Really.

Let me show you:

At this stage my old blog, Blogg-ed Issue is still up and running. It is my plan to slowly transfer old posts over to this blog, and share them as new posts here and after a week or so change the date back to it’s original, because, I like things in order!

Tell me what you think!
